Who said pastels were just for spring?
If you tend to play by the rules of fashion, it’s likely that you’ve reserved the pastel pieces in your wardrobe strictly for the springtime. However we’re all for breaking fashion rules here at Duffle Coats UK and think pastels are far too pretty to leave out of your autumn / winter wardrobe. But don’t just take our word for it – look at pictures from the autumn / winter runways and you will see they were dominated with soft hues of pink, blue and buttercup yellow.
So how do you go about incorporating pastels into your autumn and winter outfits? Well first we suggest starting with your outerwear. There are currently so many pastel coloured coats available and we have a fair few for you to choose from here on the Duffle Coats UK website. If you are not sure which pastel shade to go for, pink is the preferred shade of the season, so that may be a good place to start.
If you’re not sure you want pastel shades to take over your whole winter wardrobe, why not subtly incorporate them into your outfits using winter accessories? Pastel coloured scarves, hats and gloves are perfect for giving a nod to the trend without going overboard.
Alternatively you could opt for a pastel coloured bag. If you don’t own one already, go and take a look at our beautiful leather satchels. We have a number of pastel satchels for you to choose from in both classic and saddle bag styles.
A final way you could include pastel shades in an autumn / winter look is by using candy coloured makeup. Whilst most people tend to go for a dark berry lip or a smoky eye at this time of year, why not change things up and make yourself stand out from the crowd by opting for a pastel pink lipstick and peachy blush?
There are so many ways you can incorporate pastel shades into your autumn / winter outfits, it’s just about getting a little creative!
