One For The Boys
One for the Boys Fashion Ball back in town and has quickly become the event that kicks off London Fashion Week Mens in style. Populated by legions of celebrity menswear fans in their best black tie, the event is not only one of the best-dressed of any on the fashion schedule, but it’s also one of the most charitable – staged, as it is, to raise money for Samuel Jackson’s One For The Boys charity, which aims to increase awareness of male cancers and educate men about the health risks they face.
This year, the event takes place on Friday 9 June (the first day of LFWM) at the Landmark London Hotel in Marylebone with a trio of performers already confirmed: Pixie Lott, Leona Lewis, and Grammy award-winning rapper Eve. There will also be an after party in association with luxury Brit accessories brand Asprey and Belvedere Vodka, DJed by Daisy Lowe and Amber Le Bon, as well as DJ Fresh, who has been vocal about his own recent battle with cancer.
Plus petrolheads might also spot some special guests turning up as McLaren teams up with One For The Boys as the official car partner.
For the first time, the One For The Boys Fashion Ball is the precursor to the charity’s first-ever pop-up clinic: The Waiting Room. This will open its doors from Monday 12 June to Wednesday 14 June, in Canary Wharf, and has been designed to be not only the ultimate relaxation space for guys (packed with games consoles, boys toys, refreshments, and, we’re assured, a whole lot more), but also a space where guys can learn more about their bodies.
The One For The Boys Waiting Room presented by BGC Partners will be open as follows:
- Monday 12 June, 2pm to 7pm
- Tuesday 13 June, 10am to 7pm
- Wednesday 14 June, 10am to 7pm
